Title: Finding Interestingness
Topic Covered: How to tell an interesting story about a seemingly uninteresting subject
Timeframe: 30 – 45 minutes
Description: The goal of this workshop is to aid in understanding that there is always an interesting story to tell about data, it just depends on how it is told. Five topics are chosen which to most people are seemingly uninteresting. Through adept data searches, one can find a string of interesting facts – at least three for each topic, which could be interesting. These will then be strung together in a written or oral narrative or infogr.am graphic. The topics are:

Recycling
Concrete
Oral Hygiene
Dietary Fiber
Missouri Agriculture
