The SLI project sponsored several professional development (PD) institutes and activities. Here, we’ve adapted the materials and processes from those sessions for educator use. These included institutes conducted as week-long group activities involving experienced and new educators, as well as short sessions at the annual meeting of the National Science Teachers Association. If you have the opportunity to gather a group of like-minded educators to work on these together, we highly recommend it (Rosemary Davidson did so at her school).
